Faema Controller PCBs arrived

Happy new year!

Last year (beginning of December) I had sent out my designs for my Faema controller boards to pcbs.io a few weeks back and they finally came today! I knew it would be a couple of weeks so I had them delivered to my parents house in northern New York where I am visiting for the holidays. I had shipped all my components and tools so I could start building this thing. Unfortunately, they showed up a couple of days before I return home so I don’t think I’ll have the chance to assemble them here.

I will say, despite the time it took, which I still think is reasonable for PCBs that cost what these did, I am very impressed with the quality of the boards. For about $80, I had 5 of each dual-layer board made. Not a bad price, considering the main controller board is a 152x100mm (about 6×4 inches), however I couldn’t be more pleased with them. I hope to have this fully assembled soon!

Nothing like that fresh PCB smell…
